Japan's rise twice in a short span of time went against the normal path taken by all other nations. For instance, in the 1860s it embarked on an economic reformation that made it one of the many world powers in the 1900s. After being nuked and losing the millions of people in the second world war,it did that economic miracle all over again and almost became the world's largest economy.
